The Orleans Art Studios Tour

The Orleans Art Studios Tour came together again for their annual event in Ottawa’s East end for an exciting weekend of visual inspirations. The tour took place on June 11th and 12th and showcased the work of 24 talented artists at 12 different studio sites. All those who participated are members of the tour including Wallack’s own Veronica Keith.

Our Wallack’s Orleans location was proud to be a community supporter of the event providing a studio space to display many of the beautiful art pieces. In addition, the manager of the Orleans location, Michael Moffat, received the pleasure of picking the winning name from a draw hosted by OAST. The winner of the draw was Chantel Pomerleau of Orleans! She received a $300 voucher and choice of any of the extraordinary art pieces in the show. A viewer’s choice draw was also arranged by Michael Moffat and the winner, Aline Joanis, received a creative gift from Wallack’s.

About Wallack's Art Supply

Wallack’s has been serving the Ottawa community since 1939; when Samuel Wallack went into business for himself, selling photographic supplies, picture framing and some artist’s materials. In the mid-1950’s, Wallack’s expanded from the original narrow shop on Bank street into the empty store next to his to offer more selection of art and hobby supplies as well as more display space for original art. His son John Wallack, who joined his parents business in 1963, now heads the business. Since 1977, John Wallack has moved the existing art material business to the present location at 231 Bank Street which was originally a grocery store and expanded the fine art gallery to it’s own location at 203 Bank Street. Today, Wallack’s is eastern Ontario’s largest retailer of artist materials with four locations in the Ottawa area, one in Kingston and two in the Gatineau region. For over 70 years, Wallack’s has been committed to supplying creative people with quality products at competitive prices. Wallack’s reputation is built on offering a wide selection of brand name artist materials, service by friendly knowledgeable staff and quick and efficient delivery across Canada.
